The Friendsite was for my senior exhibition during my last semester at Northern Michigan. For my final project, I wanted to dedicate it to all the awesome friends I had made up at NMU. Throughout the semester, I scheduled photo shoots and invited my friends to them, where their photo was taken on a seamless background (with the help of my photographer, Sarah Reimink.) For the website, each person’s bio page has a timeline layout where I talk about my first encounters with the person, as well as my favorite memories of the person, with a scrap-book feel as photos of us together over the span of the last 4 years fade in. There is also an interactive map displaying everyones hometown with a dot, and if you hover over it, you can see who is from what city and get to their bio pages from there.
