I met Garrett through Monica while I was moving into the dorms. She had known him since they went to high school together and I guess it was also garret's first year at Northern the same year it was mine.
Garrett and I went to the same community college (washtenaw Comm College,) the year before we went to Northern, but did not know each other at all until we met in the dorms.
For Christmas break in 2011-2012, Garrett and I drove home through a blizzard together in a car with no working heat. We both had sweats on over our jeans and double layered our coats, and there were times we both considered pulling over and waiting out the storm due to low visibility, but eventually we beat it out. Despite all that, it was still a really fun trip down together.
Garrett, I've probably traveled down state with you more than anyone else, and it's always been a pleasure. Thanks for all the rides, video game advice, and genuinely awkward situations you have gotten me into (the first photo is no exception.) I'll miss hanging out with you for sure.
